MegaDomeNL supplies & installs Canadian made galvanized steel framed, fabric tension membrane, pre-fabricated engineer designed buildings that can be upto 125' wide and 1000' long and used as large industrial buildings, enclosed "lay down" areas, material processing buildings, equipment & material storage, garages, warehousing and recreational arenas. Megadome structures are designed and built with the materials required for Canadian weather conditions....this includes stronger bracing and materials than that used by our competitors. MegaDome buildings are made to be used by many industries to protect people, equipment. materials, and animals.
Each Megadome structure is individually designed for its location, with drawings stamped by a Registered Engineer to certify the structure meets the Canadian Building Code including the wind and snow loads requirement for the area. As examples of MegaDomes being used by industry, you will find them at the new Vale Inco Nickel Processing Facility being built in Long Harbour, NL. (Photos pending approval from Vale Inco). You will also find them at the Consolidated Thompson Bloom Lake Mine just west of Labrador City Click Here. At Bloom Lake a cement plant is housed inside a 125' x 464' MegaDome that is installed on large concrete blocks. The structure has full lighting and is insulated to meet the demands of a northern climate. A smaller MegaDome is also used at the mine as a garage for equipment repairs and maintenance.
